Over 1,000 stores deep: building the operating system behind a kratom beverage brand’s retail expansion

Most direct-sales businesses run on spreadsheets, group chats, and hope. Super Feels — a kratom beverage brand — came to us needing something sturdier: a system that could take independent reps and turn them into a real, scalable retail distribution network.

We built two things that had to work as one. Super Feels App, a Laravel backend with Sanctum-authenticated APIs, and Super Feels (Mobile) on iOS and Android, a React Native app the reps actually lived in day to day. Between them, the system covered the full loop of a route-based sales business: lead capture and pipeline tracking, customer accounts, rep-held inventory with warehouse replenishment, invoicing, and a commission engine with tiered rates, bonus structures, and penalty logic for shortfalls. On the back end, ACH sweeps handled collections and rep payouts automatically, with a Slack bot layered in for real-time team visibility.

The commission engine was the hardest part to get right, because it had to be trusted without question. Reps were paid based on what the system calculated, cycle after cycle — so the tiers, adjustments, and approval workflow had to hold up to real scrutiny from people whose income depended on it.

It worked. By the time the store locator was pulling live data from the platform, Super Feels had product on shelves in over 1,000 retail locations — convenience stores, vape shops, gift shops — spanning the continental US, Alaska, and Hawaii. What started as a handful of independent reps turned into genuine nationwide shelf presence, all tracked, invoiced, and commissioned through the system we built.
